Project 29 is a project I'm undertaking during my 29th year...I know, the title is staggeringly creative.
I have lots of reasons for doing this project, and the goals (and fingers crossed..results) may be increasingly far-reaching into multiple areas of my life throughout the year. I want to walk the line of being flexible enough to focus on different things as I feel compelled, but not abandoning things so fast that I never am able to make progress on anything. Areas may include: career, relationships, physical fitness and health, finance, where I'm living, mental attitude and outlook, etc. The only two goals that I know won't change are:
1. Be happy with who and where I am when I turn 30 next November.
2. Don't be too cheesy throughout this process.
Anyway, they say that every journey starts with a single step, so where I'm focusing first is my physical fitness and health.
I have some big goals I'm kicking around in my head (weight loss, lost inches, clothing size, some kind of race or physical fitness event), but I'll share those once I have more concrete ones. I'm also a fan of small goals, so I'll be sharing those as well.
For now, what I'm planning on is the following for each week:
1. Choose a food "goal" with a concrete action step and metric of success
2. Weigh myself and gauge my "percent weight lost"
3. Post my workout plan and follow up with a reflection on how it went
So, with that, away I go...
